In this Version 1 implementation, the selected PDF is processed in your browser rather than uploaded to a Toolbox server.

Why can the output PDF look different?

The current compressor rebuilds pages as compressed JPEG images. This reduces file size but can remove selectable text, form fields, links, and vector properties.

Will every PDF become smaller?

No. Some PDFs are already highly optimized. The tool reports the result size so you can see whether the new file is actually smaller.
